Pupils can attend Sundon Lower from 2 years 9 months as a fee payer or using Government Funded free hours.
Fee payers
A morning session starts at 8.45am and finishes at 12.00pm the cost of this session is £17.00.
If you would like your child to stay for lunch between 12.00pm and 1.00pm there is an additional charge of £4.20 plus a packed lunch that you provide or a paid for school meal which is an extra £2.75 per day or £13.75 per week.
If you would like your child to stay for the morning and afternoon session the total cost is £34 per day plus your chosen lunch option as above.
2-year-old funding
If you are eligible for 15 hours Government funded childcare for 2 year olds, this allowance can be used Monday to Friday 8.45am – 12.00pm.
If you would like your child to stay for lunch between 12.00pm and 1.00pm there is an additional charge of £4.20 plus a packed lunch that you provide or a paid for school meal which is an extra £2.75 per day or £13.75 per week.
If you would like your child to stay for the afternoon session between 1.00pm and 3.15pm there is an additional charge of £12.
If you are eligible for 30 hours Government funded childcare, this allowance can be used to cover the full day from 8.45am-3:15pm. You have the option of supplying a packed lunch or you can purchase a school meal which is an extra £2.75 per day or £13.75 per week.
Children age 3
Children are entitled to the Universal 15 hours per week the term after they are 3 years old. For example, if they become 3 in January their entitlement will start after the Easter break.
This allowance can be used Monday to Friday 8.45am – 12.00pm.

Children will experience a wide range of activities, and learn to interact with their peers in a happy, relaxed and secure environment. They may attend on a sessional basis, either mornings, afternoons or full days. In Nursery, play is valued as a key way in which children learn. They are encouraged to initiate their own play and pursue their own interests.
The teachers work closely with the children to support and extend their learning and to help them reach their full potential. Children are provided with a variety of indoor and outdoor activities such as dressing up, playing in the sand tray or learning to write their name, to extend fine and gross motor skills.Through regular “circle times”, children are given the opportunities to share and discuss their thoughts and opinions, both linked to our topics or to their home life.
During this time they are encouraged to listen to each other and take turns whilst speaking. These are seen as important social skills which they will continue to develop throughout their time at Sundon Lower School.
