Children had a fabulous time, playing in the snow today.
“On Wednesday, Year 3 went on the Bedford Faith Tour. First, we went to the Gurdwara and we learnt that Sikhs carried a curved knife. The Gurus held swords. Next, we went to the Mosque and learnt about the five pillars of Islam. One of the pillars was charity. Finally, we went to the church and a guide asked us to look around the church for anything that might be special to Christians. Two things we found were the cross and the candles. In this particular church, the priest wore different clothes on different special times – a white one sometimes and a purple or gold one on other occasions.” By Felix - Year 3
On Thursday, we were pleased to celebrate our Harvest Festival. Unfortunately, due to roof work taking place at the church we were unable to hold the event there. Children from Owl class narrated the assembly, we sang lots of songs and each class performed a song or poem. Father Yenda spoke to us at the end about our favourite foods and being thankful for what we enjoy eating each day. All the contributions for the Foodbank were on display and thank you to everyone who donated towards this.
Goodbye and good luck, we will miss you all!
Well done Saturn!
